History

Little Light Counseling & Family Resource Center was founded in 2020 by Mimi French-Templeton. Little Light’s Mission is to improve the lives of children in our community by removing financial barriers to counseling and parenting education.

Initially we had an equal focus on child therapy, couples therapy, and individual therapy. However, we saw the urgent need of services targeted at children and teens. Helping kids, teens, and their families became our main focus.

In 2025 we will be launching a new program, providing parenting education for free to families in need. We are so excited to launch this initiative and share more details with our community as it comes to fruition. This new program will allow us to deepen our impact and improve the outcomes for the people we serve.
